Help new mums by making a donation to our crowdfunder

We want to bring Stroud Motherhood Collective to more mums.

Make a donation before 5 February 2025.

“An incredibly worthwhile experience.”

“A safe space where I was not judged and felt supported instead.”

Currently 1 in 5 women are diagnosed with a mental health condition in the year around birth. In the year after birth suicide is the number one cause of death in women. Many more suffer alone in silence.

You might have a loved one who has felt like this or you might feel it yourself.

That’s why our project is so desperately needed. Over the past year, we’ve secured ongoing funding for four creative peer-support groups and through them we've helped over 270 mums. To run more in 2025, we need the community’s help.

A donation can cover:

  • Tea and biscuits for 12 mums - £3

  • A group session for one mum - £12

  • Three sessions for one mum - £36

  • Six sessions for one mum - £72

  • One session for all participants - £144

  • Three sessions for all participants - £432

  • A six-week Wellbeing Circle for all 12 participants - £1279

You can read more about what we plan to offer and how it's funded on our Spacehive page.

The deadline is 5 February 2025

These are so much more than groups and sessions. New mums learn a variety of practices to support their wellbeing and safeguard their mental health. They also gain invaluable access to a local support network, meaning they can be a lifeline.

Reviews from participants

“I feel so blessed that this sweet community exists and is a resource I can draw upon.”

“There’s really nowhere else, and nothing else, that properly matches the contribution that Stroud Motherhood Collective has given to my life since becoming a mum.”

“Being a mum can be really, really challenging at times. Feeling held by people in the community - doing something creative together, talking, holding space - is so important in getting through those challenges.”

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far!

We are eternally grateful.
